FPCCI’s plea for better security

ISLAMABAD, Feb 7: President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Tanvir Ahmed Sheikh has said better internal security situation is essential for the industrial revolution.

“Pakistan is now on the track of prosperity and progress but there is a dire need to make the security circumstances better to attract the investors,” he said while addressing businessmen at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).

Ch. Muhammad Saeed and Zubair Ahmed Malick, the outgoing president and vice-president of the FPCCI also spoke on the occasion.President ICCI Nasir Khan said that the FPCCI should work as liaison between traders and the government.

He said that the business community of the capital is united and will cooperate with Businessmen Panel. He demanded higher representation of Islamabad in the FPCCI.

Chairman Business Panel Tariq Saeed said that Islamabad would be given the opportunity to preside the FPCCI in the newly promulgated trade ordinance. He stressed upon the government to take measures to curb the inflation monster.

Munawar Mughal, chairman Founder Group and liaison office FPCCI Islamabad said that Businessmen Panel had won with majority, which reflects the trust of traders and industrialists in them.

He further said that there was ample potential to work in the welfare and education sectors and the matters regarding education of women should be streamlined on priority basis.
