PESHAWAR, Dec 26: A businessman has accused the assistant political agent of Kohat Frontier Region of giving a decision on a dispute in favour of his partner allegedly after taking bribe.

Rafique Afridi, owner of a firm, Shaheen and Company, said at a press conference here on Tuesday that Assistant Political Agent Fida Mohammad Bangash’s decision in favour of his partner Saeed Wazir was in violation of tribal traditions.

He said that he would challenge the decision in FCR Tribunal and the Peshawar High Court.

He urged NWFP Governor Ali Mohammad Jan Aurakzai to provide him justice.

Mr Afridi said he had signed a business deal with Mr Wazir in 1988 for launching a transport and oil business.

He filed a case with the Khyber Agency political agent on Feb 4, 1998, after developing differences with his partner in 1996 and elders of Mohmand, Khyber, South Waziristan and other agencies recorded their statements in his favour.
