KARACHI: Rabid dogs in Baldia

By A Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 26: Increasing number of rabid dogs in parts of Baldia Town has made people’s lives miserable and the officials concerned are yet to take any action. It has been reported that rabid dogs have attacked many people in areas of Mohammad Khan Colony and Ittehad Town, where government dispensaries are also not available and people have to rely on private clinics, which too have no vaccination arrangement.

An area resident, Mohammad Ali Khan told this scribe that a stray dog had attacked two of his relatives recently, who were later on shifted to Peshawar in a serious condition.

He urged the authorities concerned to make arrangements for proper vaccination and launch an effective campaign against these dogs.

When contacted the Orangi town nazim, he said that he was aware of the situation and every step would be taken in this regard.
