Candyland lead on first day

LAHORE, Dec 23: Three rounds were completed on the opening day of the first Sheikh Ata Bridge Championship at the Lahore Gymkhana on Friday.

The fourth round was in progress when this report was filed.

Candyland , comprising Khalid Mohyuddin, Zahed Mehyuddin ,Mubasher Puri and Masood Mazhar, are leading with 64 points.

Four points behind are Kohat Aces, with Syed Nayer ,Usaid,Jahangir ,Hamayun and Mian Tariq as team members.

Other team positions are Suri (54 points); Data Steel (53 points); Sherdil ,(53 points);Aces, (51 points) ;Strikers (50 points); Bokharis (50 points).

In line to win this big event are eighteen renowned and established bridge playing teams from all over the country and the contest is over three days, and eleven rounds.
