ISLAMABAD, Dec 3: Negotiations are continuing with the Gulf Cooperation Council on a framework of the Free Trade Agreement, Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri said on Sunday.

He said that Pakistan and Oman enjoyed close cordial relations with regional countries.

“In a bid to enhance bilateral trade and cooperation with Oman, Pakistan wants a free trade area with the country,” he said.

Mr Kasuri told PTV that at present modalities were being worked out in this regard.

Describing the talks with Omani officials fruitful, he said Pakistan was persistently trying to improve its relations with the rest of the world, including the Gulf countries, especially Oman.—APP
