RIYADH, Nov 26: A Pakistani and a Nigerian, convicted of drug smuggling, were beheaded by the sword in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, the interior ministry said.

Kol Mohammad Ibrahim Mohammad, a Pakistani national, and Nigerian Abdulwahhab bin Mohammed bin Mahmud were found guilty of respectively bringing heroin and cocaine into the country, hiding the drugs in their stomach, the ministry said in statements carried by the official SPA news agency.

The two men were executed in Jeddah, the ministry said. The beheadings bring to at least 28 the number of executions in Saudi Arabia this year.—AFP
