PAFL clarifies
LAHORE, Nov 25: Reacting to reports of protest by workers against layoffs, the Pak American Fertilizer Limited, Mianwali, says that the company had informed “a few contractual workers in advance that due to overstaffing their contracts would not be renewed after expiry which was perfectly in accordance with the law.”
It said in a statement on Saturday the matter had already been resolved amicably under an agreement between the CBA and the PAFL management. It said that the factory was operating normally without any production problem.
