Hub Dam royalty issue to be resolved

QUETTA, Nov 24: The governments of Balochistan and Sindh have agreed to resolve the issues of Hub Dam water royalty and gas development surcharge through the inter-provincial coordination ministry.

The decision was taken at a meeting between Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf and Sindh Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination. Dr Sohrab Sirki, here on Friday.

Balochistan Inter-Provincial Coordination Minister Sher Jan Baloch, Minister for Law and parliamentary Affairs Abdul Rehman Jamali and others attended the meeting.

The Balochistan chief minister told Dr Sarki that the Sindh government had not paid around Rs9 billion to Balochistan on the account of Hub dam water royalty for a long time.
