Rizwan makes NBP batsmen struggle

KARACHI, Nov 24: Customs medium pacer Rizwan Akber snapped up four wickets to make star-studded National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) team struggle in their Patrons Trophy grade-I tie at the latter’s ground here on Friday.

Sialkot-born Rizwan took the wickets for 47 runs in 21 overs as NBP ended second day’s play at 256 for eight wickets in reply to Customs’ first innings score of 262.

Fawad Alam slammed 60 in 83 deliveries with the help of seven boundaries.

Salman Butt scored 47 off 66 deliveries striking nine boundaries.

Earlier, resuming at their overnight score of 237 for seven, Customs added just 25 runs to their total.

Test paceman Mohammad Sami, who has been recalled in the Pakistan team for third Test against West Indies, polished off the tail, finishing with three wickets for 82 runs in 30.2 overs.
