KARACHI: Students’ week concludes

KARACHI, Nov 19: The Sir Syed House, Qasim House and Jinnah House dominated the events organised as parts of a students’ week at DA Degree College.

College principal Captain (retd) Ahmed Zaheer was the chief guest. He appreciated the students for showing zeal for the celebrations and advised them to develop skills and talents side by side with curricular activities.

The prominent events of the week were a Naat competition, a bi-lingual debate, quizzes and a music talent contest, said a press release.

The house trophies were won by Sir Syed House for the Naat/Qirat competition, while Qasim House for bi-lingual debates and Jinnah House for Quiz competition. Muhammad Adeel Qadri of Class XII and Jawaid Sadiq of class XI were adjudged as best Qari and Naat-khwan respectively. In the inter-house English declamation, Zohaib Ejaz of Class XII won the first prize and Sahar Sohail of BA-I was awarded the second prize.
