KARACHI: Matricide suspect remanded

KARACHI, Nov 3: A judicial magistrate of the District East on Friday remanded Hanif Khan, accused of killing his mother, to judicial custody. JM Hifzur Rehman directed the jail authorities to produce the accused before him on Nov 16.

The suspect was booked for killing his mother on Oct 27 in Shah Faisal Colony on the complaint of his father Akram Khan. It was alleged that Hanif killed his mother, Aasia, when she refused to give him money.

Meanwhile, two witnesses identified suspects accused of killing Inspector Ismaeel before the judicial magistrate, East, Allah Bachayo Gabol. Suspects Kamran alias Kami, Farhan alias Gole and Mohammed Shahid were held for killing over a dozen police officials during the past three months.

Prosecution witnesses Farhan and Akram identified suspects Kamran and Farhan. They, however, did not identify Shahid.
