LAHORE, Oct 28: Prince Charles of Wales and British heir to the throne will visit the provincial metropolis along with his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, during their visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz from Oct 29 to Nov 3.

On their arrival here, the royal guests would be warmly welcomed by Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool and other dignitaries and treated to a traditional Punjabi welcome organised by the Punjab government.

Prince Charles would attend an inter-faith meeting hosted by Governor Maqbool at the Governor’s House.

According to official sources, the themes of the visit of the royal couple to Pakistan are education, youth entrepreneurship, sustainable development and inter-faith harmony.

The visit is aimed at supporting partnership between Pakistan and the UK and to highlight the shared heritage and community links between the two nations. —APP
