QUETTA, Oct 14: The National Database and Registration Authority will launch the Afghan nationals registration project from Oct 15 in Balochistan.

According to a press release, Afghan nationals will be registered in Alam Chowk, Airport Road, Spiny Road, Sabzal Chowk and Satellite Town areas in the provincial capital, besides Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Loralai, Chaghai, Nushki, Mastung, Kalat, Khuzdar, Sibi, Ziarat, Qila Saifullah and Zhob districts.

The registration will continue till Dec 31.

tehsil merged: The provincial revenue department has issued notification to exclude the Lehri tehsil from the Sibi district and merge it with the Bolan district in the light of the orders of Balochistan High Court.

The official handout on Saturday said that the Lehri tehsil has been separated from Sibi and included in the Bolan district.

A division bench of the BHC had issued notice on a contempt of court petition filed by Fateh Khan Khajak to the provincial chief secretary to appear on Oct 30 in view of the petitioner’s submission that the provincial government was not implementing the court’s decision.
