KARACHI, Aug 29: Eight ships carrying palm oil, containers and steel bars are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Mac Aandresew Swala, Kota Hormat, Western Star and Mega-2 to unload and load containers and Calmy Coral, to unload and load general cargo were berthed.

Five ships, Iran Sattari, Amasis, Mac Aandresdew Swala, Diamond Progress and Pacific Ace departed, while Originator, Kota Hormat, Weston, Mega-2, Calmy Coral, Myongsan and Passat are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 87,147 tons comprising 26,232 tons of export cargo including 3,682 tons of rice and 60,915 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Maersk Barry, with 9,849 tons of palm oil, Hyundai Sprinter, Marcalabria, PAC Antlia, Ever Gurad, Thor Captain, with containers, Crystal Lily, with round steel bars and Iron Butterfly, with project cargo.
