Clarification

KARACHI, Aug 21: The City District Government Karachi (CDGK) has denied that a ban has been imposed on movement of containers to and from Korangi industrial area.

Clarifying a news item appearing in a section of the press a CDGK spokesman said that due to laying of 48 inch dia pipeline on both sides of the underpass, as apart of the drainage system, Khayabane Roomi/ Khyabane Jami (Shon Circle) Clifton, the road had been closed for all type of vehicular traffic.

He said that despite a ban on movement of heavy traffic on Sharea Faisal, vehicular traffic, including containers to and from Korangi industrial area, is allowed to operate on Korangi Road, FTC, Sharea Faisal, Moulvi Tamizuddin Khan Road to proceed to the Karachi Port during the night, says a press release
