New plant

KARACHI, July 8: Atlas Honda Ltd. (AHL), a motorcycle production and sales joint venture in Pakistan between Honda and the Atlas Group, announced setting up of production at a new motorcycle plant in Lahore. The investment in the plant is about Rs1.8 billion, which will raise the AHL’s annual production capacity from 400,000 units to 500,000 units.

Yusuf H Shirazi, Chairman of AHL attended the line off ceremony along with Takeo Fukui, president of Honda Motor Co. Ltd., says a press release.
