SUKKUR: Dacoit arrested

SUKKUR, June 28: Police arrested an armed robber after he sustained injuries in an encounter in Loco Shed in the jurisdiction of Rohri police station near Sukkur late Tuesday night.

Reports said that when a gang of armed dacoits barged into Mohammad Bux Shaikh’s house the family managed to inform police on 15.

A police party rushed to the house and warned the robbers to surrender but an encounter ensued between the robbers and police. As a result police arrested Islam Bharo in injured condition while his accomplices managed to escape.

Police recovered a TT pistol and 15 bullets from the injured dacoit’s possession and filed an FIR on the complaint of Mohammad Bux Shaikh against Islam Bharo, Aijaz Ali Zangejo, Nazar Dharejo and two others.
