Getting justice right of every citizen: CJP

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, May 30: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry has said getting justice without any hindrance was a fundamental, inalienable and indestructible right of every citizen. “Justice for all constitutes an effort by all concerned for creating an enabling environment where even every citizen is assured of his or her political, economic, religious and social rights,” he said while speaking at a ceremony organised by the Saarc Law Pakistan (Islamabad chapter) in connection with the golden jubilee of the Supreme Court of Pakistan here on Monday night.

He observed that any society devoid of justice was bound to collapse and history was replete with such instances.

He said the theme of the golden jubilee year of the apex court was “Justice for all.”

Justice for all without discrimination or preference is a fundamental Islamic principle.
