Militants kill ‘govt spy’

MIRAMSHAH, May 26: Militants on Friday shot dead a carpet trader in Miramshah, accusing him of spying for government forces, officials said.

Witnesses said the assailants fled after attacking the trader shouting that they had punished a spy. He died in a hospital later.

A clinic in Hamzoni village near Miramshah was damaged when explosives planted by suspected militants went off on Thursday night, an official said.—AFP
