ISLAMABAD, May 25: An eight-member delegation of the People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP), led by Makhdoom Amin Fahim, left for China on a week-long visit on Thursday.
The PPP delegation comprises Chairman of the PPP Foreign Liaison Committee Senator Enver Baig, party’s secretary-general, Raja Pervez Ashraf, MNA Nawab Mohammad Yusuf Talpur, former information minister Khalid Khan Kharal, MNA Mehreen Anwar Raja, former MPA Makhdoom Rafiquz Zaman and MNA from Islamabad Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari.
Talking to Dawn, parliamentary leader of the PPP in the National Assembly Makhdoom Amin Fahim said the delegation was visiting China on the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party.
PPP Senator Enver Baig said the PPP team would visit Beijing, Shanghai and Xing Xaung. He said during their stay in China, the PPP leaders would meet the Chinese leadership and discuss ways and means to improve friendly relations, the foundation of which was laid by late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
