ISLAMABAD, May 22: CAA overcame a stubborn Navy 2-1 on Monday, thanks to the heroics of Majid Khan and Bilal Zaman on day three of the 2nd National Team Championship at the Mushaf Squash Complex. In one of the toughest matches yet, Majid was made to sweat by Khayal Mohammad who appeared in no mood to give in. So stiff was the contest that the players were on court for almost one and a half hour.

But in the end it was Majid who held his nerve to pick up a well-deserved 4-9, 10-8, 8-10, 9-2, 9-1 victory that brought Bilal Zaman on to the court to face off Navy's Waqar Mahboob.

It turned out to be another tense match as Bilal was extended to four games before he was able to complete a 9-5, 6-9, 9-5, 9-4 win in a little more than an hour.

Basit's defeat to Farrukh Zaman however denied CAA an unbeaten run in the contest. Although Basit did put up a good fight, Farrukh was clearly the better player and needed 48 minutes to secure a 9-3, 5-9, 9-5, 9-3 victory.
