QUETTA, May 15: The Provincial Selection Board of Balochistan has recommended over 100 officials of different provincial departments for promotion to the next grade. A meeting of the selection board held here on Monday reviewed promotion cases of officers of different grades and other employees and decided the promotions on the basis of seniority, merit and service record.

“Over 50 of the promotion cases were pending for 20 years which were discussed by the selection board and decided in favour of the officers,” official sources said. The sources said the board had recommended over 1,500 officers and employees for promotion to next grades at its meetings during the last three months.
