KARACHI: AJK minister demands fair probe into April 11 blast
KARACHI, May 3: The Nishtar Park tragedy is a conspiracy against Islam and the failure of the provincial government, says the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Markazi Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Pakistan and Member Legislative Assembly Azad Kashmir, Pir Atiqur Rehman Faizpuri.
Speaking at a press conference held at the office of the Markazi Jamaat Ahle Sunnat, Karachi, on Wednesday, he said it was not only the murder of innocent people and prominent leaders but also an irreverent act with the Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) and an attempt to malign it.
He said the Nishtar Park tragedy was an international conspiracy against Islam, which was gaining popularity all over the world.
He demanded immediate removal of Sindh’s governor and home minister, saying they had failed to find out the terrorists involved in the tragedy despite the passage of nearly a month.
He demanded of President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz to look into the matter and ensure a fair, transparent and objective probe into the incident so that people involved in the incident could be penalized and the anger of the Ahle Sunnat masses could be pacified.
He demanded of the government to unveil the hidden hands behind the Nishtar Park tragedy and threatened of a protest movement if the culprits could not be found out.
He also demanded the government to pay Rs1.5 million in compensation to each family of the martyrs and Rs1 million to injured.
Mufti Mohammad Jan Naimi, Mufti Abdul Haleem and other ulema were also present.—PPI
