KARACHI, May 3: Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil has said that the city government is pursuing the policy of extending all possible support to foreign investment and as a result investment is registering growth.

Talking to the Consul-General of Qatar, Rashid Bin Abdul Rehman Al-Naam at her office on Tuesday, she said that Pakistan enjoyed strong bonds of friendship with Qatar and other states of the UAE and these needs to be consolidated further through social, cultural and political cooperation.

Nasreen Jalil told the Qatar consul-general that law and order had improved and vast opportunities to make investment existed here. She said strong stock exchange was reflective of a strong economy. She referred to fast development taking place in Qatar and other UAE states.

The Naib Nazim opined that pace of development in Karachi could be accelerated by benefiting from their experience of development. —APP
