Six shot dead as rivals clash

NAROWAL, April 27: Six people were killed while three others sustained serious injuries in an armed clash between two rival groups near a filling station at Chowk Bijli Ghar here on Thursday.

Reports said that five armed men opened fire on their rivals. Reacting quickly, the men of other group returned the fire and killed all the five attackers, Shahid, Imran (brothers), Irfan, Yasir, Boota and passerby Naeem on the spot.

The shootout also resulted in serious injuries to Yaqoob, Chand and Tahir. Two cars and a filling station of one of the rival groups were also torched.

Narowal police have registered a case. The police later send the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy.
