Pakistan beaten twice

By A Sports Correspondent

KARACHI, April 25: Scotland whitewashed Pakistan straight 3-0 in the second round of Div 3 group J World Team Table Tennis Championship at Bremen, Germany, on Tuesday, according to information made available here.

Earlier, Pakistan made an unimpressive start when they went down in straight three games to Cyprus on the opening day on Monday.

Pakistan now meets Colombia on Wednesday afternoon and faces Mexico later in the day. Their last encounter will be against Kuwait on Thursday.

Three men — Kashif Razzak, Asim Qureshi and Salim Abbas — and as many women — Sadia Falaksher, Ayesha Iqbal and Rahila Kashif — are featuring in the competition.
