KARACHI: Britons keen to invest

KARACHI, April 25: Pakistan and Britain enjoy very close, cordial and friendly relations. This was stated by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan, while talking to newsmen at a reception hosted by the British Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi, Hamish Daniel, on Monday evening to mark the 80th birthday of Queen Elizabeth-II.

Dr Ibad said the ties between the two countries had further strengthened due to the policies of the present government and would be further cemented in the years to come. He stated that as far as investment and particularly foreign direct investment (FDI) in Pakistan was concerned, Britain had always taken appreciative measures.—APP
