KARACHI: Services at Zero Point reviewed


KARACHI, April 21: Problems faced by people travelling to India by the Thar Express were reviewed at a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman on Friday. The chief secretary was briefed about the services being provided by Railways, Customs, Immigration and the FIA.

Sindh Local Government Secretary and DCO Umerkot were asked to initiate effective steps for making available facilities of water and other necessities for passengers and staff of service providing organizations.

It was decided that an effective strategy would be adopted by the Pakistan Railways for provision of eatables to passengers and staff, working at the Zero Point Station.

The chief secretary, in the light of a communiqué received from the federal government, called upon the officials to ensure provision of due facilities in a coordinated manner. — APP
