SIALKOT, April 18: The protesting family members set a bus on fire after the death of a child under its wheels at Chand Chowk near Pul Aik on Tuesday afternoon.

Class four student Mohammad Ehsan, 12, of Doburji Mallhiyaan village was on his way home when a speeding bus hit and killed him.

The bus driver escaped from the scene.

Later, the family members of the boy gathered on the road and set ablaze the bus by sprinkling kerosene and patrol on it. They also blocked traffic on main Sialkot-Daska Road for half an hour by burning tyres.

A police contingent reached the spot and dispersed the protesting people after holding talks with them.

In another incident, Khalida Bibi and her seven-month old son, Muneeb, were killed when a tractor-trolley hit their motorcycle on main Sialkot-Sambrial Road near Saahowala. Her husband was seriously injured in the accident.

At China Chowk, 10-year old Saad Khokhar was crushed to death under the wheels of a tractor-trolley.
