KARACHI, April 18: Eleven ships including two with 20,000 tons of sugar and to load rice are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Kota Merdesa, Dong He, Hanjin Busan to unload and load containers, Calmy to offload and load general cargo and Eleana, to load rice were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships, which departed included Bunga Delima, Patria, Magic Sky, Calypso-N, Rising OM and Warbah, while Fotini Lady, Swat, Hanjin Busan, Dong He, Kota Tabah and Calmy Coral are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.101m tons comprising 20,171 tons of export cargo including 3,846 tons of rice and 80,424 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Yellow Knife, to load 26,500 tons of rice, Shalamar, with crude oil, Rising OM, to load naphtha, Al-Marwah, to offload chemicals, Kota Wijaya, Y.M. Sun, Hyundai Highway, Erice G.Gibson and Kuo Hung, with containers, Angel Eagle, with DAP fertiliser, Kardaran Star and Banglar Virmi, with 6,188 and 13,900 tons of sugar.
