MoU signed with China

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, April 18: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Tuesday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Yinchuan Branch of China Council for the promotion of bilateral trade.

ICCI President Abdul Rauf and Ms Hong Meixiang, President of the Yinchuan Branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, signed the MoU.

A business delegation from China visited the ICCI and discussed various issues concerning trade with entrepreneurs of the capital.

The ICCI president said China was assisting Pakistan in various big projects, including Shahrahe Qaraquram, Chashma Nuclear Plant and Machine Tool Factory, whereas Chashma Nuclear, Gwadar Port, Sandick and Gomal Zam projects in their completion phase were real sign of Pakistan-China friendship.

Ms Hong Meixiang said both countries should give their thumbs up for trade through road links and after the completion of Gwadar port business opportunities would increase. “Pakistan traders should visit China to augment bilateral trade between the two countries,” she added.
