KARACHI, April 13: MQM members of the Sindh Assembly on Thursday accused Jamaat-i-Islami of complicity in the Nishtar Park bomb blast in which top leadership of Sunni Tehrik was wiped out.

In a statement issued from the MQM headquarter ‘Nine Zero’, the MPAs chided Qazi Hussain Ahmad for claiming that bomb was exploded with a remote control, and indicated that there were convincing evidences that it was suicide bombing.

They claimed that according to bomb disposal squad, the explosive used in the blast was the same that had been used in the bombing at the Imambargah Haideri and Ali Raza mosque earlier.

They asked Qazi Hussain Ahmad for any information that could suggest that the bombing at Nishtar Park was carried out with a remote control.

The legislators also referred to the JI’s ‘white paper’ on law and order in the city, and asked how the JI could know a day before the incident that the law and order in the city would deteriorate if due notice of it was not taken.
