LAHORE, April 10: Sindh Industries Minister Adil Siddique has said that a strategy to develop national industrial parks in Sindh has been finalised and would be announced soon.

He was addressing executive committee members of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Monday. Punjab Industries Minister Ajmal Cheema, LCCI President Mian Shafqat Ali, Senior Vice-President Abdul Basit and Vice-President Aftab Vohra, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Haroon Farooqui, former FPCCI President FPCCI S.M. Muneer and SAARC Chamber of Commerce Senior Vice-President Jamil Mehboob Magoon also spoke on the occasion.

Mr Siddique said that there was a need to develop consensus on the long-standing issue of water reservoirs like Kalabagh dam and once the consensus was evolved among all the four provinces, the construction would be started.

He said that a special attention was being given towards the law and order situation in the province so that the business community could do business without any fear.

Ajmal Cheema said the Punjab government was ready to extend full cooperation to Sindh to strengthen the country economically. About Kalabagh dam, the Punjan minister said that it was a national issue and should be solved amicably. He said that Punjab had its own viewpoint on this issue and was ready to remove misunderstandings of all the stakeholders.
