KARACHI, April 9: The traffic police announced alternate traffic routes due to illumination programme on April 10 in connection with Eid Milad in Karachi. According to an official handout issued here on Sunday, there would be special ‘charaghaan’ on both sides of Nawab Siddiq Ali Khan Road from Golimar Chowrangi No 1 to Lasbela Bridge, therefore, all the vehicular traffic would be stopped to pass from the said routes after Isha prayers.
The following routes would be used for traffic: all the vehicular traffic coming from Gurumandir via Business Recorder Road to Lasbela Chowk would be diverted to Nishter Road, which would proceed to their destination via Tinhatti, Dakkahna and Golimar Chowrangi. However, heavy traffic would not be allowed to pass.
All the traffic coming from New Karachi, North Nazimabad and SITE would be diverted from Golimar Chowrangi No 1 to Dakkhana Chowk Liaquatabad, which would proceed to their respective areas via Tinhatti, Jahangir Road and Gurumandir. Heavy traffic would not be allowed to pass.
No vehicle would be allowed to park at Nawab Siddiq Ali Khan Road from Golimar Chowrangin No 1 to Lasbela Bridge.
The traffic police requested people to follow these alternate routes on the night falling between April 10 and 11 so that traffic inconvenience could be avoided.—PPI
