Fly To The Sky on course for a hat trick
KARACHI, April 8: Seven-year-old bay mare, Fly To The Sky, is fancied to make it three in a row should she win the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday. Having sprinted to victory in the previous two outings, she is drawn in a field of seven contestants in the six furlongs fourth race of the day.
On both the occasions she was piloted home by Ashiq Ali. She clocked 1 min 17 sec last Sunday which was slight better then the previous time.
Chestnut colt, King Of Kings, bay horse and Blue Breeze should settle for the places.
On her form and fitness, she starts as our days’ best and seems to oblige the punters with yet another triumph.
A card of seven races has been chalked out for the day. The first race begins at 1.00pm.
Eight-year-old Jaguar should pick up spoils by capturing the five furlongs opener. It has a strong field of 18 aspirants.
Chestnut Lucky View and bay horse Daruwala stand a good chance of making it to the board by securing the following two places.
If all goes well, three-year-old filly, Miss Milee, should make amends by edging out opponent’s to claim the second race. She is owned by Shah Mardan Shah Pir Pagara and trained by Sher Mohammad.
Chestnut Dil Phaink belonging to the same connections may upset the applecart.
The six furlongs next race should end in a blaze of glory for chestnut, Silent Witness. He should be chased by Bilal Choice and Adaab Arz.
Pitted against 16 opponent’s, M. R. Hussain’s Mera Jugnoo, should gallop to victory in the fifth race.
However, sibling Reyan King, trained by Ghulam Channa, can bring an element of surprise.
Syed Ali Gohar Shah’s Deniro, a eight-year-old bay horse, should clinch the sixth race while Haji Khuda Bux Rajar’s Smiling Face is tipped to return victorious in the concluding event.
