KARACHI: OIC’s role to resolve issues stressed

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, April 4: Foreign meddling in internal affairs of Pakistan should immediately be stopped and prestige and due status of the country should be restored internationally. This demand was made in one of the resolutions adopted in the meeting of Jamaat-i-Islami Karachi (women wing) held at Idara Noor-i-Haq on Monday.

By another resolution, the meeting criticized the electronic media and demanded that insult of benefactor of Pakistan and father of Pakistan’s nuclear programme Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan and his due status be restored.

The JI stressed the need to activate and made the Organization of Islamic Countries more effective, and efforts should be made from OIC platform to solve all problems being faced by Ummah. Muslim rulers should represent aspirations of their people respectively and respond to the attacks against Islam.

The meeting observed that the US after Afghanistan and Iraq was preparing for launching its aggression on Iran.

Regretting over total surrender by Pakistani rulers against the US in the war against terrorism, they pointed out that it was due to coward attitude of the government that the US ambassador had dared to claim that no more Qadeer Khan would born in Pakistan.

By another resolution, the party criticized the electronic media which had started propaganda like foreign channels against Islam by telecasting a telefilm titled “Jehad” which was against the spirit of Jehad by painting Mujahideen as terrorists and enemy of religion.
