APNS elects office-bearers

KARACHI, April 1: The annual general meeting of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) held here on Friday elected office-bearers of the organization for the year 2006-07. The following were elected:

Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman of the Jang group: president; Mr Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami of daily Pakistan: senior vice-president; Mr Inquilab Matri of daily Millat, Gujrati: vice-president; Kazi Asad Abid of daily Ibrat: secretary-general and Mr Anwar Farooqi of Aghaz: finance secretary.

The general council of APNS also elected an executive committee for the year 2006-7.
