Published April 2, 2006

TIMERGARA, April 1: A team of the World Bank would conduct a three-day study on ‘Promoting Rural Growth and Poverty Reduction’ in Dir Lower, official sources told Dawn on Saturday.

The study will focus on key institutional issues of local governance, including intergovernmental relations, instruments of accountability and interrelation between local government and communities, sources added.

The study will also recommend ways to improve rural service delivery and implementation of decentralization polices.

The study team would visit different areas and meet key government officials and other stakeholders to know their point of view.
