US senators due today

WASHINGTON, April 1: A group of 10 senators and other young political leaders from across the United States will visit Pakistan from April 2-12. The group would be led by Senator Brian Joyce.

Shahid Ahmed Khan, member of board of trustees of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, said on Saturday.

He said that the group of young political leaders was sponsored by the US State Department and was part of an exchange programme.

A statement issued here said quoted Mr Khan, who is coordinating the trip, as saying that the delegation would meet leaders of the federal, provincial and local governments as well as people from other walks of life.—APP
