Saeed, Usman power Tigers home

KARACHI, March 21: Scintillating batting by Saeed Anwar and Usman Tariq enabled Multan Tigers outclass Sialkot Stallions by eight wickets in the Gold League fixture of the National One-day Regional cricket championship on Tuesday. Saeed hammered an unbeaten 106 and the fellow left-handed Usman a hurricane 96 as the Tigers overhauled the Stallions’ score of 292 with only two wickets down and as many overs to spare at the UBL Sports Complex.

Usman was in magnificent touch as he stroked 14 fours and two sixes in his 68-ball while dominating the opening partnership of 152 with Saeed, who slammed 11 boundaries in his 128-ball knock.

Mohammad Ali Niazi also played a good hand. He struck an 81-ball 67 with four fours and one six and helped Saeed put on 128 for the second wicket.
