Ghulam’s double sinks KU

KARACHI, March 21: Ghulam Ali struck twice to help Baloch Mohammadan Lyari (BML) register eighth victory in KASB Premier League football when they beat Karachi United (KU) 2-1 at CDGK Stadium on Tuesday. Ghulam put BML into lead by converting a superb Abdul Samad pass in the 15th minute while Danyal Alvi levelled the score for KU in the ninth minute of second half.

Two minutes later, KU goalkeeper, Obaid Khwaja committed a blunder and Ghulam made no mistake in finding the net to ensure maximum points.

In other match at Sixteen Star ground, Malir National edged out hosts Sixteen Star 1-0 to record their fifth successive victory in the event. Pervaiz Ahmed smashed the winner in the 56th minute.—PPI
