Interpol notices against human traffickers sought

ISLAMABAD, March 14: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has issued warrants of arrest for 185 suspected human traffickers and contacted Interpol for red notices against 19 traffickers living abroad.

Of the 185 accused, FIA sources said, 97 fell in category A and 74 in category B.

The sources said that Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Mandi Bahauddin were major centres of human trafficking from where people were smuggled to Europe via Iran and Jordan. They said the department had so far held 57 travel agents involved in the crime.—Online
