KARACHI, March 14: The Sindh Minister for Sports and Culture, Qamar Mansoor, said that besides trade there were bright prospects in the field of tourism between Pakistan and Kenya.

He was speaking after inaugurating the first Kenyan Tourism Exhibition at a local hotel, said a statement on Tuesday.

He said foreign as well as domestic tourists would be encouraged after developing various natural and tourist spots in Pakistan.

He said a warehouse was expected to be inaugurated in Kenya this month for the convenience of Pakistani exporters.

The minister said besides trade, both countries enjoyed excellent relations in various other avenues.

He said tourism in Kenya had been given the status of an industry, adding that benefit could be gained from their (Kenyan’s) experience while developing tourism in Sindh.

Likewise, the minister said that Kenya was a good place for Pakistani tourists and the government of Kenya had relaxed visa restriction for Pakistani nationals as well.

He said the PIA had also started twice-a-week service to Nairobi, which would help Pakistani tourists visit there in a large number. The Kenyan High Commission, Mishi, in her welcome address highlighted the trade and tourist resorts in her country.—APP
