By A Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Feb 3: The city district government has imposed section 144 in the city as part of security measures for the Muharram. In a statement issued here on Friday, City District Nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas has banned gathering of five or more persons at public places, pillion riding and use of loudspeakers except in mosques and Imambargahs till Muharram 10.

He said those religious clerics being banned from entering Rawalpindi would not be allowed to the district, adding that posters display, wall chalking and distribution of hate literature would be strictly monitored and seized and violators would be punished under section 188.
