Blast halts rail traffic

By Our Correspondent

DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jan 29: A second bomb blast in less than two days suspended rail traffic between Multan and Jacobabad on Sunday night. The site of the fresh blast is close to the Shadan Lund railway station, 29km in the North. The blast took place at 9pm while the railway authorities learnt about it at 10.10pm.

The Faisalabad-bound Chiltan Express that was coming from Quetta was halted at the local railway station. Authorities said the damaged track would be repaired by Monday morning.

It was the fourth sabotage activity in the district during the current month and 13th in the past two years. Police suspected Balochistan connection.
