SUKKUR, Jan 18: Activists of the PPP (Shaheed Bhutto group) staged a protest demonstration and observed a token hunger strike for two hours in front of the local press club on Wednesday against the Kalabagh dam and army ‘operation’ in Balochistan.

The protesters were led by PPP-SB district president Lala Yasir Pathan and Eiden Jatoi.

The protesters were raising slogans against the government and the Kalabagh dam.

Speaking on the occasion, the PPP-SB leaders said that construction of the Kalabagh dam was aimed at to turn barren agricultural lands of Sindh.

They said the dam was a matter of life and death for the people of the province.

The protesting leaders also condemned the army operation in Balochistan and said the army was killing innocent people in the name of terrorism.

They demanded immediate end to the military operation and withdrawal of anti-Sindh projects.
