Haj flights behind schedule

Published January 17, 2006

LAHORE, Jan 16: Haj flights continue to arrive here behind their schedule time. On Monday, two Haj flights — PK-7138 and PK-3608 — scheduled to arrive at 12:45am and 3:30am arrived at 11am and 12 noon, respectively, owing to mismanagement on the part of the national carrier.

A PIA spokesman, however, claimed that most of the Haj flights were delayed due to late reporting of pilgrims to the check-in counters. He said the PIA regretted the inconvenience.
