MIRPURKHAS, Jan 3: A free eye camp would be organized by the District Red Crescent Society in collaboration with the provincial health department in February in Mirpurkhas where prominent eye surgeons would operate eye patients free of cost.

It was decided in a meeting of the District Red Crescent society held on Tuesday.

The meeting was presided over by the District Coordination Officer, Khursheed Naeem Malik, and attended by the Executive District Officer (Health), Dr Hadi Bux Laghari, EDO Revenue Abdul Rahim Soomro.

The meeting decided that free medical camp would be organized every year in Mirpurkhas with the aim to providing medical facilities to people of urban and rural areas.

The meeting decided that the deposited amount of the society in the National Investment Trust (NIT) would soon be utilized for such projects to serve the people. For this purpose a six-member committee led by S.A.Khan was formed.
