Low-paid employees stage protest

By Our Correspondent

LARKANA, Dec 6: Low-paid employees from different departments of the district took out a procession here on Tuesday. Led by Sindh Employee Alliance chief organizer Syed Ammanullah Mishwani and Manzoor Aheer, they staged sit-ins at different roundabouts and blocked traffic.

They later reached the press club.

The protesters criticized the government for denying them corporation allowance.

They alleged that Sindhis were not being given their just share in federal government services.

They called for same facilities for employees of Sindh as enjoyed by people of other provinces.

They also demanded that the government should regularize services of daily wage employees.

They opposed political interference in government departments.

They said high prices of essential commodities had affected low-cadre employees.

They called upon the government to recognize rights of Sindh on its natural resources.

They threatened to widen the scope of their protest if the government did not resolve their problems.
