LAHORE, Dec 3:Three wickets by Mahmood Malik for only 10 runs helped Ludhiana Club qualify for the final of the Gymkhana Cup cricket tournament beating Aligarh Club by seven wickets at the Bagh-i-Jinnah ground on Saturday.
Ludhiana will meet Model Town Greens in final on Sunday.
Ludhiana won the toss and put Ali Garh into bat first. But fine bowling by Mahmood reduced them to 159 for all in 39.3 overs.
The top batsmen of Aligarh Club failed to excel as only two batsmen crossed the double figure mark. Kashif Raja (33), and Raheel Abbas (32) were the prominent scorers.
Ludhiana knocked off the required runs for the loss of three wickets in 29.1 overs. Adnan Butt and Adnan Raza scored 50 runs each. Nasir Jamshed scored 31.
Top 16 clubs of Lahore contested in the tournament. The winners will get Rs 100,000 and the losers Rs 50,000.
